Public Art Projects
Why make marks; why make marks in public? We all want to say - “Hello, it’s me! I’m here! I exist.… especially when we feel unseen, unheard, unworthy.
Making a mark publicly offers that opportunity plus one to communicate non verbally and engage in painting, drawing in a therapeutic way. Children, teens, adults with with mental and developmental challenges, the homeless and the incarcerated have just as much to say as the rest of us but less opportunities.
Sometimes we need to respond to situations, even crisises; sometimes we want to honor our history, sometimes we want to beautify our surroundings; sometimes there’s just a good idea that needs to be manifested.
