Description: Chattanooga was devastated by a string of tornadoes in April 2011. Long of Chattanooga, a local car dealership, lost windows in the storms and asked Mark Making to animate the panels boarding up their damaged building. Elementary students from Boyd-Buchanan School and St. Peter’s Episcopal explored their experiences of the tornadoes through drawing, painting, and writing. This experience allowed students an opportunity to process the disaster as well as offering the public a message of rebirth.
