2010 Wings II: 1,200 sq ft of multiple murals

Site: Alabama Furniture Building

Artists: 14 girls (aged 7-14)

Partners: Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, The Tennessee Arts Commission, The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, East Chattanooga Weed and Seed, Unbroken, Girls Inc. of Chattanooga & Hardy Elementary School

Description: After the success of Wings I, inspired by a sermon about the Prophet Elisha, fifteen participants from Girls Inc. of Chattanooga were invited to paint angels on a building at the busy intersection of Glass Street and Dodson Avenue. The goal was to, like Wings I, demonstrate the power of spiritual faith and to beautify this intersection.

Wings II was funded in part by ArtsBuild, Tennessee Arts Commission, and Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.
