Peggy Douglas, Ph.D, is a retired college economics professor and a playwright, performance poet, and musician with various string bands in Chattanooga. In 2014, her play Twisted Roots was produced at the Signal Mountain Arts Center. In 2015, her play,After Work ran at Barking Legs Theater. Her one woman show, An Afternoon with Mother Maybelle Carter, was performed at Barking Legs Theater for July 10th at Barking Legs Theater.
She has been a small business consultant and on various non-profit boards for twenty years, including the Folk School of Chattanooga, Center for Mindful Living, Chattanooga Cares, Tennessee Environmental Council, Knoxville Writer’s Guild, and the Chattanooga Writer’s Guild.
